We found out witchcraft really exists in some communites in the acclaimed billionare resort town of Malindi
We traveled recently for a short vacation to the North eastern town of Malindi and visited the Vasco da Gama pillar. After the brief on the Portuguese history we decided to cross-over to the public beach and experience what happens.
On the coraf reef we came across a gruesome picture of a chicken tied with a red scarf. Upon enquiring our guide told us that the previous night some entered in to the Beach museum and requested to be let in to do something -he had carried a paper bag but upon return he had no paper bag. and then the following day they found the dead carcase.
... he told us that witchcraft is till protracted be some of the ethnic communities in the town. Despite the Italian influence and Christian community prevalent in this billionaire acclaimed town ..this still goes on.. talk about culture and ancient gods........
any way we took pictures and went on to enjoy the high tide warm ocean which people were enthusiastically waiting for.. we got to know why...
